The SMF Ph.D. Prize is awarded annually by the Seminario Matematico e Fisico di Milano and is open to candidates who have obtained a Ph.D. in Mathematics, or an equivalent recognized qualification, at an Italian university or scientific institution.
2026 Edition
The year 2026 marks the inaugural edition of the Prize. The 2026 call has attracted 96 applications. Owing to the high number of submissions, and to allow the Committee to operate with due care and balance, the conclusion of its work has been postponed to the first half of October.
